Where can your dog run off-leash, and which restaurants welcome dogs? Discover our tips for a holiday with your dog in and around Hoenderloo.
Are you going on holiday to Hoenderloo with your dog? Then you’ll probably want to know not only where you can enjoy beautiful walks, but also where your dog can run off-leash and which restaurants you can visit together.
We therefore contacted several restaurants in the area ourselves to ask whether dogs are welcome. You’ll also find a large fenced off-leash dog area nearby.
Below, we’ve collected our tips for you.
’t Leesten off-leash dog area
Would you like to let your dog enjoy some time off-leash during your holiday? Then ’t Leesten off-leash dog area is a great place to visit.
The off-leash area covers approximately 15 hectares and is fully fenced, giving your dog plenty of space to roam freely.
There is also a Natte Neuzenroute of approximately 3.1 kilometres. Dogs are allowed off-leash on this route too, provided they are kept under proper control.
This makes ’t Leesten a great destination if you want to combine a longer walk with some off-leash fun during your stay.
Eating out with your dog in and around Hoenderloo
After a day of walking on the Veluwe, it’s nice not to have to leave your dog at the holiday home when you want to go out for something to eat.
We therefore contacted several restaurants in the area ourselves to ask whether dogs are welcome. These are the options they gave us.
Bospaviljoen ’t Leesten
Dogs are welcome in the conservatory and on the terrace.
This makes Bospaviljoen ’t Leesten especially convenient when visiting the ’t Leesten off-leash dog area. After your walk, you can stop here together for something to eat or drink.
Pannenkoekenhuis Hoenderloo
At Pannenkoekenhuis Hoenderloo, dogs are welcome inside the restaurant.
This is particularly convenient when the weather isn’t great and you don’t want to depend on outdoor seating.
Restaurant De Veluwe
At Restaurant De Veluwe, dogs are allowed outside.
If you’re planning to visit with your dog, keep in mind that you’ll need to sit outdoors.
Het Deelerhof
At Het Deelerhof, dogs are allowed inside the restaurant.
So you can bring your dog along if you would like to eat indoors.
De Lierderhoeve
At De Lierderhoeve, dogs are allowed inside the restaurant until 5:00 pm. After 5:00 pm, dogs are only welcome on the terrace.
Keep this in mind if you’re planning to visit for dinner.
Always check the latest information before you go
We obtained the information above directly from the restaurants. Of course, their policies can change.
If you want to be certain that your dog is welcome at the time of your visit, we recommend checking with the restaurant before you go. This is especially useful if you want to sit indoors and helps avoid any surprises.
