The forest is approximately 200 metres from the holiday home and De Hoge Veluwe National Park is around 1.5 kilometres away. Whether you come to walk, cycle, spot wildlife or explore the area, Hoenderloo is an excellent base.

De Hoge Veluwe National Park

A visit to De Hoge Veluwe National Park is almost a must during a stay in Hoenderloo.

The Hoenderloo entrance is approximately 1.5 kilometres from Het Veluwse Boshuisje. The park offers forests, heathland and sand drifts and is a wonderful place for walking and cycling.

One of the great advantages of this location is that you don’t need a long drive before you can start enjoying the beautiful nature of the Veluwe.

Are nature and our location in Hoenderloo the main reasons for your stay? Take a look at our page Holiday home in Hoenderloo near De Hoge Veluwe National Park.

Walking from the holiday home

Even outside the national park, nature is never far away. The forest is approximately 200 metres from the holiday park.

This means you can easily enjoy a walk in the morning or evening without having to get in the car first.

This is particularly convenient for dog owners. Up to two dogs can stay with us free of charge, and the holiday home also has a fully fenced garden.

You can find more information on our page Holiday home on the Veluwe with dog and fully fenced garden.

Kröller-Müller Museum

The Kröller-Müller Museum is located in the heart of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. The museum is well known for its extensive collection of works by Vincent van Gogh and its sculpture garden.

A visit to the museum is therefore easy to combine with a day of walking or cycling through the national park.

Explore Hoenderloo and the surrounding area by bike

The Veluwe is an ideal region to explore by bike. From Hoenderloo, you can head in various directions and combine nature areas, forests and villages in a single trip.

You can also cycle in De Hoge Veluwe National Park. This allows you to explore a much larger part of the park in one day than you would on foot.

A day out in Apeldoorn

Apeldoorn is also within easy reach of Hoenderloo for a day out.

Among its attractions are Apenheul and Paleis Het Loo. This makes it easy to combine a holiday surrounded by nature with a day doing something completely different.

Apenheul is of course a popular destination for families with children, while Paleis Het Loo is particularly interesting for those who enjoy history, gardens and culture.

Arnhem and Burgers’ Zoo

There are also several options for a day out in the direction of Arnhem. Burgers’ Zoo is a popular destination and easy to combine with a stay on the Veluwe.

During a longer holiday, this means you don’t have to do the same thing every day: one day you can walk through the forest, and the next you can visit an attraction or museum.

Swimming and relaxing at the holiday park

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with spending a whole day without going anywhere at all.

During the season, ’t Veluws Hof holiday park has a heated outdoor swimming pool with several water slides and a separate children’s pool. Other facilities include a restaurant, snack bar, supermarket, bowling, mini golf, sports court and tennis courts.
